Weihenstephaner Korbinian

Pours a deep brown and develops a nice thick tan head which is very impressive looking. Aroma is nutty malts and sweet caramel with dark sugars. Taste is very sweet, even more so than expected and found it slightly cloying. I’m picking up lots of brown sugars and toffee at the end of the sip. A slight roasted taste comes over and balances the sweetness to a degree but not as much as I would have hoped.

A nice and good bockbier tasted at bier festival at Viersel Germany. Nice beer with good aftertast a little sweet

Bottle at KØ07. Dark brown colour, brown head. Malty aroma. The flavour is also malty as well as peppery and sweet. Dusty malt aftertaste. Quite good.

a dark maroon with a medium thin khaki head smells of burnt raisins. a light body with crisp but big bubbles tastes of toffee malt raisins and a light bitter burntness to it

Bottle: Aroma is fruity and vinous, some malts. Sweet. Color of ruby and mahoghany with a nice beige head. Tastes sweet, but with a husky malt presence. Wheat tones and a little dark fruit. Some alcohol can be detected, but not in a distracting manner. Thanks Buckdich.

Dark mahogany color, chestnut brown, nice thick head, tan head and decent lacing. Nose is rich with molasses and jaggery, nice plum and wheat esters. The flavor is balanced, notes of cocoa and hot chocolate, sweet dates and fig, cake, nice creamy finish. Savory or sweet, take your pick.

Sweet and bland. No hops and thin body. Mostly just a sweet taste---with little roasted malt flavor.

Dark brown with a nice head. The aroma is malty and sweet, but not cloying. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, candy sugar, caramel and it has a sweet citrussy counter weight. It’s very charming, a bit heavy in it’s sweetness though... 2044
