Pours dark brown with temporary foamy tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Creamy initial flavor, very malty...great taste. As doppelbocks go, this is a top ten.

One bottle from BOTW. Poured a large slightly tan head. Deep brown color with a sweet toasted malt aroma. Flavor the same. A nice thick chewy bock. It’s great that there is no hops bite in this. Just goodness. Enjoyable

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Dark brown/ruby colour with firm beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, ryvita, dark rye bread, slightly spicy and roasted notes, ending with hints of burnt sugar. Malty taste with notes of dark rye bread, ryvita, chocolate, coffee and wild berries. Some sweetness throughout but actually drier than expected. Full bodied, rounded and smooth mouthfeel. Absolutely brilliant balance. In short, an awesome and beautiful brew.

Cloudy brown with light head and no lacing. Strong aroma of maple syrup. Balanced sweet syrup and hop taste finishing with roasted oak. Not heavy at all, but deceptive alcohol content.

Aroma is malty, but not very strong. Light sweetness in the initial flavor that grows with the finish. By the finish the malty flavor takes over. Not really bitter at all. Nice.

Clear deep ruby body with a medium creamy light brown head. Sweet malty molassas aroma with a syrupy background. Sweet grainy molassas flavor with some dark malt in the end.

500ml bottle. Doughy tan head on top of a murky dark brown body. Buttered waffles, maple and toast on the nose, with a decent burnt bread crust and light cream and smoke scent. Creamy and silky up front, sweet over the middle, smooth in the finish. Flavor is creamy smoke and pastry, light butter or diacetyl note, but really it focuses on a large dose of creamy smoke.
