Aroma is of yeast, malts, and with some soy sauce and dried fruit undertones. Taste if of yeast and barley. It’s similar to a brown ale. Nose is toasted brown sugar, sweet malts, and belgian candi sugar. Taste is cocoa, roasted malts, dark lightly sweetened chocolate and has a creamy finish that’s slightly bitter but pleasingly so. Flavor of fresh bread, malts, very cleam fermentation. A slightly lighter mouthfeel than other doppels but a good example of the style.
