Commercial Description:
A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

This is one of my new favorite doppelbocks. Pours a deep mahogany and leaves a nice lasting beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity but dominated by malts. Lots of munich, toasted, and chocolate malts in both the aroma and taste. Flavor is accompanied by a hint of hops in the end to give it a slight bitterness. Not cloying at all. Very easy to drink and not too syrupy like some doppelbocks.

(500ml bottle) Aroma of dates, soya sauce, whiskey and bread. Thin, white creamy hed with a mahogany body. Very bready notes with undertones of soy and lots of caramel malt. Many thanks to Andre

500ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam) - shared with mirjukka - thanks!
Deep red, slightly hazy, no head. Heavy sweet malty aroma. Massively malty bready sweet palate. Some biting sharp hops. Mellows to green buds. Covers 7.2% well. Big, bold, and beautiful. More please :-)

Bottled. Dark red-amber colour. Heavy malt nose, with chocolate. Chocolatey backbone in flavour and good malty. Full-bodied and well balanced, but not very complex.

500ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a diminishing brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, raisins, a hint of smoke and a bit of molasses. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark fruit, roasty malt, some molasses and a hint of smoke with a lingering bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a deep ruby-brown with a large lasting creamy tan head. Very nice aroma of dark malt, dark fruit, yeast, caramel, nuts and chocolate. Delicious creamy flavour of dark malt, dark fruit, chocolate, roasted nuts, hops and alcohol. Medium bodied. Wow, this was one of the best Doppelbocks I’ve ever had.

Bottle. Pours caramel nut brown with a small foamy/creamy light brown head and some light lined lacing. Yeast (barn, dough) and wheat lightly roasted malt (straw) aroma with hints of grape and German noble hops. Sweet malt caramel wheat and warming flavor with low acidity and well balanced malt hop combination that finishes a touch creamy with very little aftertaste. Medium to dark full bodied palate that is warming and somewhat carbonated, yet easy on the tongue.
