Pours a deep mahogany and leaves a nice lasting beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity but dominated by malts. Lots of munich, toasted, and chocolate malts in both the aroma and taste. Flavor is accompanied by a hint of hops in the end to give it a slight bitterness. Not cloying at all. Very easy to drink and not too syrupy like some doppelbocks.
