Pours clear brown with red hues, with medium, lasting light brown head. Nice nutty malt aroma with some chocolate and molasses notes. Medium mouthfeel, not as smooth as expected though, a little watery on the finish. Nice sweet malt start with a balanced mid and finish. Lingering roast flavour. Nice stuff

Bottle from Belmont Station--Brown-mahogany body with a small fluffy white head. Fruity, mildly tart, and earthy nose. Lots of malt complexity. Taste of dark fruits, grains, stickiness. Robust, rich, and everchanging flavor. Yum!

Pours a nice, dark petrified amber with glimmers of red, a once frothy full head sinks to outline a pacman like creature. The nose is bready yet with underlying fruitiness akin to cherries with some spicy pumpernickel bread and lightly toasted grains. Body seems a bit thin at colder temps but fills out somewhat as it warms.. toasted grains, bread, and a bit of cherry ride along the flavor profile. Has a decent bready crispness, but it lay upon too thin of a palate, even at warmer temps I think the flavors seem to get lost and disappear quite rapidly. With more body, the flavors would be more pronounced...they’re good flavors, they’re just not pronounced enough.

Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Deep hazy brown color with a small beige head. Nose of candied dark fruits (plums, figs, raisins). For some reason I caught some dry dog food in there?? That really turned me off of this beer, I have tried in the past and remember really liking it. I might have gotten an old bottle.

A slightly hazed medium brown pour. A smell almost like sweet hay that has been barn dried. Pours the malt at first that goes to an almost light sour aroma. An almost thick sweetness that reminds me a bit of dates or raisins. A very smooth even palate and mouthfeel. A tad on the frothy side but overall very good.

Pours with a dark ruddy complexion. Head is dingy looking. Aroma is sweet and malty. Robust flavor. Flavors consist of roasted malts with a bit of chocolate. Seems kind of thick going down. Very good dopple. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Hazy brown in color with a small off white head. Aroma of chocolate/caramel, some bread/yeast, some biscuity munich malt. Taste has a good deal of munich, chocolate, and some caramel malt. Smooth, malty, and somewhat rich, a medium full body with a hint of some hop bitterness in the finish. very good.

Nice amber, brown color mild head that little staying power,Malty sweet aroma with a slight fruity side to it.The taste was all most more then i could handle, malty sweet with hints of caramel and mild fruit tones very smooth and a malty after taste that was fantastic. There was nothing in this brew to dislike and everything to like,i wish i had more then the one beer but i know where to get more and thats the main thing. The alcohol in this brew appears to be well hidden you don't really detect it much but you feel it after half the bottle is gone.Just a fine Dopple all around.
