Feb 14, 2007 Dark red-brown colour with a nice very creamu long lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, some coffee and slight chocolate. Flavour is malty, bit roasty, sweet, some chocolate and coffee, dark fruits, alcohol and bitterness. Tasty strong brew.

Mar 3, 2003 Deep dark ruby brown color. Malty and fruity aroma. Medium to full bodied, malty and fruity flavor (pear and banana). Some roasted malt and coffee. Just a hint of metal in the aftertaste.

Feb 27, 2007 Tap @ Den Tatoverede Enke. Pours a deep red with a medium pretty creamy brownish head. Aroma has roasted malts and a dose of berries. Mouthfeel is dry and prickly. Flavour is very nice. Hazelnuts, caramel, oak and a nice finish of sour berries (is it cherries?). Aftertaste is spicy bitter and vinious.

Feb 9, 2008 16.9oz bottle-pours a rich foamy tan head that laces and red color. Aroma is roasted husky dark malt. Taste is sweet roasted dark malt-molasses/chocolate, dark fruit, secondary earthy hops. Nice. Soft carbonation.

May 9, 2004 Big foamy and sticky off-white head over a clear ruby brown body. The aroma consists of sweet maple, toffee, roasted and smoky malt, dark and red fruits with prominent character(cherries, plums) and an enticing earthiness. It’s very fruity and almost smoky, but actually not that spectacular after a few sips, earthy grape bubble gum if such a thing exists. Body could be a little thicker, but carbonation is moderate and appropriate. Basically, the palate doesn’t seem to reveal the promised secrets from the sniffing, but this is still a very good beer if not great.
