Pours out brown, with a rich smoky smell coming from it. Taste is malty, rich, creamy, and just all around good. One of the better dopplebocks I have had before. Nice one. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Brown color with a nice sized, but quickly fading beige head. Thick, malty aroma with some nutty, dark fruit detectable. Taste has a nice sugary, bready sweetness with a bit of dark fruit, and smoky flavors. Seemed a tad thin and watery. Nice D-Bock thats true to style. GG (1656), NorCal, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Outstanding craft here. Very, very enjoyable. The pour into my goblet had an eruptive head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was nice and malty. Appearance was a mahogany brown with a tan head. Very minimal hop in the flavor, strong in the malt department but not TOO malty. A very filling beverage to say the least! Very high marks for this one."
