Dark brown w/ ruby hue. Beige head. Dark, malty & raisin-y aroma w/ a light yeastiness. Medium, syrupy feel. Flavour is also malty & raisin-y w/ some suggestions of brandy.

50cl bottle. Dark brown color with a medium beige head. The aroma is doughy and sweet, with cookies, dried berries some licorice, and cake. The flavor is clean and smooth with plenty of malt. I little sweet, but definitely within the typical range. Toffee and light roast flavors with low bitterness, but enough balance to not be cloying. Full and slightly chewy mouthfeel. Quite drinkable and balanced, though you have to be in the mood to handle this much malt. Nice doppelbock; rich, yet refined.

Draught at Q-Brick in Osaka. Lovely reddish brown color. Chewy, meal-like aroma of oatmeal, cereals, chocolate and biscuits. Amaxingly complex malt, with chocolate, caramel, raisins and lots of dried fruit. Creamy, smooth, chewy mouth with superbly soft malts. Fantastic.

Pours a roasted caramel color with a nice light tan head. The aroma is nice blend of sticky, dark fruit, caramel, chocolate, and dry grain. Smooth and clean mouthfeel. The flavors compliment the aroma nicely with plenty of great fruit, plum, raisin, cherry and fig. A wonderful value and a wonderful surprise.

Pours a dark brownish mahogany color w/ a tall, relentless, creamy froth that sits there forever. Reduces to a full canopy of thick lace. Intense aromas of honey, dark fruits, roasted coffee bean and cocoa. Nice! Medium nectar w/ very mellow effers that create a nice creamy texture. Flavors are fresh and complex in nature w/ a very defined overlying roasted honey character. Molases, honey, plum, red apple, raisins, cocoa, roasted coffee bean, spiced cakebread, and slightly earthy. Wow! This brew rocks. The creamy texture really sets this one apart from the usual suspects. The finish has a perfect bittering component consting of chocolate roasted coffee beans and a lasting presence of stewed dark fruits and buttery cocoa. Goes good w/ spicey chili con carne. Highly recommended.

Such a nice aroma of malt, deep caramel, and biscuit. FLavour is full bodied, and rich. Loads of caramel malt, and bready malt. Wicked doppelbock, one of the best in the genre.

Dark ruby/brown pour. Thick, creamy off-white head settled a little too quickly. Malt aroma. Not much else in the aroma. Give me a few minutes to let it warm up a bit...Still malt, now slightly roasted. Meduim body. Lightly sweet malt flavor. Mouthfeel is pleasant, not much favor though. Dry finish. Tastes incomplete.
