Poured a clear dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma and flavors are malty, sugary, sweet, with some fig and raisin fruitiness. Bitter finish baloances out the sweetness.

Bottle (500ml). In my Erdinger Weiss glass. Poured deep clear mahogany with a huge foamy-creamy lasting tan head. Sweet roasty nutty/chocolate caramel malt and bready yeast aroma, some herbal hops and alcohol bitterness in background - very rich and clean. The taste is a little burnt - as the aroma, only moreso, and burnt - nice. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but still this is syrupy, not much carbonation considering that impressive head, and leaves a sticky bitter, chocolate and fruit aftertaste - solid doppel.

Porter like , chocolate, and cherries and berries, raisins and currents. Hops. Smoothness from malts yet sour finish. Bit high on the alcohol . Thanks whoever brought this to Doug Shoemaker’s party(33).

Sweet malts, dry fruits. Nice strong lager character, woody and sweet just the way it should be. Medium roast, sweet, drinkable bock. Good beer.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a decent beige head. Fruity, raisiny notes over a sweet malty aroma. Flavour is sweetly malty with just a touch of balancing bitterness that lingers a bit. Nice medium palate, could be more full bodied for my liking. Nice beer. Thanks Kimchee. Toronto Christmas Party 2004. Radek pulled a jgb9348 and dropped the bottle.

Deep amber color, large foamy head. Aroma is very malty. Big malts, slightly sweet. Caramel and toffee then hop spicy. Nice balance. Big malty beer. Warming. Robust flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry. Aftertaste is malty, with a lingering malty sweetness. Nice.

This brew poured a large creamy head of light brown finely sized bubbles. It has an extremely nice malty aroma that is very pleasant to the nose. The body of this beer is simply beautiful. Its a dark almost opaque brown color with some carbonation rising up the side of the mug. I loved the taste of this brew with elements of caramel, malt, and spice. It was extremely tasty. The head left a ring of lacing around my mug as it receded. This is an extremely good example of why I like Doppelbocks so much. Very smooth, delicious and one of the best brews I have had in a while. Einemal bitte! Once again: Im Himmel gibt es kein bier darrum trinken wir es heir! Translation: In Heaven there is no beer! That is why we drink it here.

Bottle. Small white head that mostly diminished. Absolutely no lacing. Clear flat looking body with a dark mahogany color. Aroma was delicious sweet rye bread, caramel, vanilla, yeast, burned, cinnamon, spices. Medium to full bodied with a flat carbonation. Excellent sweet flavor with some burned bitterness to balance it. Light burned and slightly alcoholic finish. Really good Doppelbock!
