Draught at Q-Brick in Osaka. Lovely reddish brown color. Chewy, meal-like aroma of oatmeal, cereals, chocolate and biscuits. Amaxingly complex malt, with chocolate, caramel, raisins and lots of dried fruit. Creamy, smooth, chewy mouth with superbly soft malts. Fantastic.

500 ML Bottle in USA. Pours dark reddish-brown, with a moderate head, that dissipated somewhat quickly. Aroma is raisiny sweet. Flavor was also sweet, raisins again with molasses. There were some rum flavor undertones going on as well. There was a slight alcoholic flavor which probably contributed to me thinking of rum. A great Bock!!!!!!!

One of my favs...Pours a dark brown, with thick tawny head that laces. Aromas of roasted malt, dark fruit, and molasses. Flavors range from roasted malt, raisin, chocolate, maple, little caramel, and light bitter hop finish which last along with the choco/malt. Very complex, wish it had more body (as it is medium) and maybe more bitterness on the finish. Otherwise one of the best in the style!! Perfect with a cigar, might I suggest Punch EMS, or if you have the means Patel Vintage 1990(red ring(not torpedo))

Dark brown with a medium tan head. It has a sweet, malt and caramel aroma. Molasses and mild coffee taste with a creamy texture and a lively roasted finish. A very good doppelbock.

500-ml bottle Marcello’s Lafayette, LA - Aroma: sweet, raisin, toffee, caramel (malt); Appearance: hazy, garnet-brown color, frothy tan head, some laces; Flavor: sweet, salty, chocolate, caramel, toffee (malt); Mouthfeel: full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation; Overall: well structured, full bodied malty palate featuring a harmonious balance between sweet, chocolate, toffee malt with hints of smoke and a drying bitterness that propels the beer into a beatutiful long malty finish.
