Pours a dark brown with a moderate tan head; decent retention and lacing. Aromia is sweet malts, is per the style. Flavor is equally sweet and malty, with caramel and clover honey. The sweetness is balanced just a bit by some coffee bitterness. Thick, full mouthfeel that is still very smooth. A very nice example of a dobbelbock.

Appearance: Pours an amber brown with a 1/2 inch of dense, sudsy head. Aroma: Bready malt, and a little bit of brown sugar sweetness. Taste: Caramel malt, bready malt, plum, and hop bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel: Creamy and thick. Overall: A flavorful, well balanced Double Bock/Doppel Bock.

Wow, this is liquid bread crust- everything about it scream, smells, and even looks like a mouth of bread crust. This would go so well with pb&j it is not even funny. No seriously, I’m not laughing. Why are you? Stop Laughing! $2.99 per 500ml bottle at Gulf Liquors, Miami Beach

This is a nice, interesting doppelbock. The flavor is complex and warming and the palate is thick and luscious. The flavor has lots of bread, caramel, nuts, raisins and even wood. My main complaint is that it’s all a little too sweet for me. Some more bitterness would be very nice here.

Pours a deep mahogany color with no head and a lot of bubbles along the side of the glass - looks like soda. Aroma is sweet and malty - caramel and molasses. Taste is the same plus plum, wood, and a touch of soy sauce. Alcohol is undetectable, and the mouth feel is solid. Drinkable and enjoyable - good brew.

500ml bottle. Rich dark brown with a pillowy tan head that is well compacted. Looks robust and has a deep rich aroma that hits you as soon as you pour it. Aroma of dates, raisans and caramel and a strong flavour and aftertaste. Well rounded and other good offering from Weihenstaphaner.

16.9 oz bottle from Market of Choice. Dark amber pour with a nice small beige colored head. Very pleasant roasted caramel flavor with some molasses and chewy nut flavors. Very nice nutty and caramelly aroma as well. My third straight winner from the oldest brewery in the world.
