Pours dark brown with a foamy quickly fading beige head. Aroma is apple, nut, and roast malt. Taste is roast and sweet dark fruit, molasses also. Finishes with light roast bitterness.

Bottle. Pours with a large light brown head and a clear ruby-black colour. Great toasted-caramel and light resinous hoppy aroma.Understated crystal malt taste with a subtle spiciness and a residual sweetness and a slight alcoholic warmth to the finish.

Bomber, in snifter. Orange-red-brown clear color, very dark. Strong aroma with a subtle blend of sweet booze and molasses. Thin, beige head that sticks to the lips. Great after-dinner brew.

A very tasty darker beer. Higher alcohol content, 7.4% alcohol, the alcohol taste is not strong. Nice dark appearance. Good mouth feel. Decently tasty beer.

Very dark amber and slightly hazy. Nice head, but it quickly pops away. Cakey-yeasty nose. Soft and very creamy texture -- nice! Malts were fairly sweet, a little roasty, woodsy, damp and earthy. Hops were a little fruity (dried apricots), herbal, and grassy, with a healthy amount of bitterness that easily kept up with the big malts. Good beer.

Tried for the first time the other night and i had no idea what it was when i ordered it. Smoky and burnt flavor, intermixed with sweet malt. Quite excellent. Very appealing except the large amount of debris at the bottom of the bottle, which left me puzzled. Oh well, still good.
