Nose is a bit crisp with some banana. Taste is rich and bold, strikingly so given the appearance. Decocted malts, very sweet and fruity. Some of the hops actually came through a touch. Nice beer, interesting in contrast to the Hefe. Nice. azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland

I initially did not like the taste of the beer...something I regarded as pungent in aroma and almost skunky in taste...however as the beer warmed, it mellowed as well. Crisp, light malt and cedar wood. Very unique and refreshing blankboy (3239), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Bottle (500ml) shared with tupalev & jerc -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a clear pale gold with a large lasting foamy white head. Aroma of banana (but thankfully not too much), yeast, wheat and light spices. Flavour of banana, other fruit, yeast, some sweet candy, light spices and a light, short bitter finish -- quite refreshing. Average bodied. As usual with this brewery, a solid version of the style -- great stuff. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Very nice aroma - lots of wheat, some yeast, very fresh - nice. Medium yellow, small white head. Nice taste - yeasty, lots of clove, good wheat/malt base. Full flavoured, medium body, nicely carbonated. I cannot speak for this style specifically, but this was a very good beer. GMCC2181 (879), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
