| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Strong aroma of flowers, dry fruits, hint of citrus. Large white head, diminishing. Krystal clear straw colour. Little lacing. Simple, bold, and clean flavour; initially fruity and slightly sweet taste with touch of acidity. Pleasant long bitter finish. Great mouth-feel; full-bodied, dry texture, with lively carbonation. Yes, a good summer beer... but is winter right now. Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

Subtle hint of herbs and spice. Overall a little disappointing from the aroma and appearance but still a good German beer. alexen84 (29), Australia

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2009Very clear golden color and pours out with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity (banana & lemon) with some hay. The beer tastes fruity and a little zesty with some spices. A bit watery and thin however. Not nearly as good as their regular hefe but still decent and definitely refreshing on a hot day, which it is here today. Re-rate 3/31/09. Still not quite as good as the hefe or dark wheat but my initial rate was too low. Bananas and cloves in the aroma with some fresh cut grass. Fruity flavors up front with some soft spices following. Refreshing and enjoyable. Gotta bump it up a bit. kramer (2484), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2008 500 ml bottle, via BA kkipple. Pours a perfectly clear straw yellow with a nice foamy craggy bright white head that had pretty darn good retention. Nice grassy aroma with a touch of light honey and crisp wheat. The flavor is fairly light, but even without the yeast there’s a good bit of yeast influence that still remains. Some light clove and banana linger for a short while on the finish. Mouthfeel is crisp and light as expected with a nice lively prickly carbonation. A very nice beer, I haven’t had a whole lot of Kristallweizens, but this one does show that you can strip away the yeast and still leave behind a flavorful beer. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2008 .5L bottle served in a weizen glass. If I didn’t know what beer this was I would think it was a nice pilsener, it is an effervescent golden liquid topped by a large bright white head composed of fine bubbles. That is where the similarities end however, as soon as it nears my nose I get a huge whiff of banana and bubblegum esters. Thirst quenching wheaty-banana flavor. Slightly fuzzy palate. Very nice. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2008 Golden in color that left a think white head. The aromas are on the sweet side with fruity scents along with flowers and rock candy. In the mouth it is very refreshing with the wheat showing through in the midpalate. Great for a hot day but not that complex or flavorfull.
