Commercial Description:
The source of its pearling, effervescent taste is the secret fermentation process which we have developed especially for our crystal wheat beer. It quenches your thirst like no other beer. With its elegant appearance, it is the speciality of our brewery. Goes well with fish, seafood and light dishes.

Beautiful clear pale golden in color. Immediate nutty cereal notes in the aroma, sorta like Total brand or Wheaties. Aroma does tend to shift to a more fruityness as it warm up. Flavor is awesome. Very clean malty taste with a lingering bitterness at the end. This is my first Kristallweizen and I’m hooked...

Pours a beautiful sparkling golden color with big, rocky head and superb lace retention. This is a filtered wheat beer and thus the color is translucent, a somewhat unusual novelty for a wheat beer, which is traditionally cloudy. Medium bodied with good carbonation and satifying mouthfeel. Sweet, light aroma with hints of fruit, hay, and citrus. Very Appetizing with a fruity, banana-like, bubble gum taste that gives way to a gentle, tapering finish with a Juicy-Fruit gum aftertaste. This self-proclaimed "World’s oldest" brewery makes a very fine filtered wheat beer (although this very modern interpretation is far from being the world’s oldest wheat beer recipe). There is a wonderful retention of complex esters and phenols in the beer, despite filtering, that, no doubt, contribute to this beer’s unique taste and aroma. Try with grilled meats or sausage.

500mL bottle. Pours a clear yellow body with frothy white head. The aroma is light, maybe some banana. The taste is smooth, again with notes of banana.

Bottle. Clear, bright golden colour with a large snow white head - beautiful! Fresh aroma of lemon, clove, a bit of banana and yeast. Crisp, refreshing body. Fresh and clean flavour with notes of banana, lemon and light clove. Maybe it was the relative freshness (BB date is 26.02.09, so I’m guessing it’s less than three months old), or maybe it’s just a great beer - either way, this really impressed me.

Bottle: Light golden yellow w/ a large white head. Lemony, yeasty aroma w/ some clove hiding in there somewhere. Flavor pretty much follows the aroma. Light in the mouth, yet creamy too.

Pours a clear golden color with a thick, dense head. Aroma is of mild fruits and some spices. Flavor is very sweet and fruity, but not so much that it is overbearing. Very crisp finish. One of my favorites.

Bottle. Crystal-clear with thick capping of white foam. Mild fruity aroma with pear, banana, and a hint of nutmeg and vanilla. Soft mouthfeel, slightly cloying. Sweet banana flavors. Estery. Mild hop on back of tongue. Boring, but not bad.

Appearance: Pours a clear, bright yellow body beneath a monstrously huge head. Smell: Sweetish malted wheat aroma with supporting, though somewhat restrained notes of clove, citrus, and banana smoothies. Taste: Slightly tangy, somewhat sweet wheat malt flavor. Subtle flavors of bananas, clove (though this ramps up upon warming), and sweetened lemon juice. Very low bitterness. Ultimately finishes sweetish with a lingering clove spiciness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A fine, refreshing kristal.
