Aroma is sweet and lightly hop spicy. Flavor starts sweet and wheaty with a light taste of lemon and a spicy bitter finish with a fruity aftertaste. Light bodied, crisp and clean with lively carbonation. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Pours to a nice golden yellow with good carbonation and a medium white head, which dissipates very quickly and leaves no lacing. Aroma and flavor were very strongly bread and wheat, with clove spice playing a big part in the taste as well. Unfortunately, palate was much too dry, and even slightly metallic. But a good beer. Thanks to WB or DB one of them hooked me up with this at the Madness and I finally remembered to drink it. Aroma, banana, apple and wheat. Poured a golden yellow with a fizzy head. Flavor was good, lively wheaty banana apple mixture and a tad of yeastiness. Palate was quite lively and light. Overall I liked it, so much so it would be a good beer to keep around. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Clear, dark yellow with a frothy white head. Lively carbonation. Nose is full of spice, banana, yeast and wheat. Very crisp and clear. Flavor has a lot of the banana esters with a good backing of the yeast. Bittering hops and some citrus, a little lemon. The mouthfeel is a touch fuzzy and it finishes off with a good deal of banana and yeast. Tangy, almost. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Wheaty nose, light banana, lemon and clove. Fairly light bodied, a very easy drinker. Flavor is everything from the nose, plus a touch more spice (coriander?) Really pleasant, I liked this very much! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2006 500ml. Pours bright gold with sparkling carb, and a big frothy bright-white head. Sweet and sour nose--grassy, and apple-tart/acidic. Nice mild grass and spice palate leavened with a bit of cleansing tart. Great, clean, drinkable stuff. Seems quite subdued compared to what we think of in wheat beers out here, but I suppose that’s just that Continental refinement showing.
