Pours a golden color with a nice big fluffy head, kind of like what one would expect at a beer garden tent at Oktoberfest. Aroma of malts, anise, cloves and grass become apparent on the pour. Similar taste. Analogous to a Belgian tripel. Light to medium bodied. Crisp finish. Pretty good. flatmatt (224), Northville, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Yes, checking off another wheat beer style. 500 mL bottle. Pours a bright transparent yellow with a big bubbly white head. Aroma is a straightforward blend of cloves and bubble gum. Light clove flavor with wheat. I like the aroma, but the excitement stops there. monkeychugg55 (229), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Pours a "kristall" clear golden yellow with a massively soapy head that lasts and leaves branches of lace. The aroma is earthy, crisp, wheat, with clove and a little banana. The flavor is similar, but very light and crisp. Smooth palate with a clean finish. I like this style better than the regular hefes, I think its more refreshing than its yeasty counterpart. The perfect summer brew. kegbear (269), Orange, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 24, 2009 (bottle) Aroma is typical of German wheat beer, with muted banana. Poured a brilliant crystal clear golden colour with substantial wheat head. Flavour was of sweet malt and clove. Very filling for a wheat beer, and surprisingly flavourful for a filtered Weissbier. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 23, 2009 this beer has a very light look yet, it maintains a lot of flavor. the taste is rich is sweet malts with a tropical fruit overtone. palate is highly fizzy. very good. Slipstream (760), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Very light, fizzy pour. Aroma has a touch of floral hops, plus some rich, malty tones, which is surprising for such a pale brew. There is a wee bit of corn and cheese too. This tastes very light and crisp, with some wheat malt, and is clearly a summer beer. This appears to be a milder, filtered version of their magnificent hefeweizen, and a little lemon goes nicely with it. This is a good light brew, and surprisingly, it is ratebeer’s number one beer for the style.
