| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Very light, fizzy pour. Aroma has a touch of floral hops, plus some rich, malty tones, which is surprising for such a pale brew. There is a wee bit of corn and cheese too. This tastes very light and crisp, with some wheat malt, and is clearly a summer beer. This appears to be a milder, filtered version of their magnificent hefeweizen, and a little lemon goes nicely with it. This is a good light brew, and surprisingly, it is ratebeer’s number one beer for the style. zakkbironia (87), Athens, Greece

The taste is the good old classic german beer taste. It’s similar to the paulaner taste but a little more easygoing. Very nice though. Surely worth a try. graham515 (434), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Pours clear gold into the glass with a small white head. Aroma still has some banana and clove present. Flavor is wonderfully refreshing with a clean malt and wheat giving way to a crisp hop presence. This is a highly quaffable beer that I will now make sure to keep around! deyholla (750), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Updated: Jul 8, 2009What a delightful beer this was, my first and only Krystal Weizen; from Belmont Station in Portland. It began with a rocky white head, two fingers thick above a body that was clear and gold. Aroma was, well, tghe best I can come up with is that it reminded me very much of an Abbey Dubbel or Tripel; lots of spice and also some fruity notes. The aroma totally belies the colour; one whiff and you’re expecting to be looking a something much darker and thicker. Taste was like the aroma, i.e., rewarding.
