Pours a huge fluffy lasting white head, over a crystal clear pale yellow (SRM 5) body....nose of bread yeast, apple, clove, lemon, some banana.....tastes early of mild wheat malts, then clove, apple and lemon dominate, with clove lingering.....mouth feel is light, carbonation fairly high. A wonderfully complex effort considering how light the ingredients really are. canary dog (443), Rutland, Vermont, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2009 I’m not a huge weiss beer fan, but I like to kick back with one every now and then to keep it interesting. This seemed like a very full bodied and flavorful weiss. Lots of clove and banana esthers. Would like to try this with a touch of lemon wedge. SuIIy (1479), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 bottle. Pours a syrupy bright yellow color with a huge bright white head. Head recedes and leaves a filmy lacing on top. Nose is bananas and light pepper with some clove hints and a sugary sweetness. Palate is syrupy and full with a light effervescent. Flavors are light banana, some nice sweet malt notes, sugars, and a clean finish. kuphish (161), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours a large, creamy, pitted, white head with a clear, golden colored body. More Bavarian countryside malt aroma - wheat, hay and straw accompanied by a big-time clove presence. Rounded out by some vanilla and a touch of banana. Medium body with lively carbonation. Lightly tart, metallic finish. Very tasty beer. mickmac (105), Ngunnawal, Australia
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Bottle. Looks fanatastic-pours with a huge rocky white head and a lively light yellow body. Big yeast driven aroma and flavour profile being oriented more to banana than clove. A pleasant lively mouthfeel and a slightly acidic finish. A great beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear yellow with a big white head. The head has average staying power but I see bubbles popping rapidly. Laces fairly well. Aroma is sweet with hints of fruits, Pepper, and wheat. Has a decent carbonation and a pretty good mouthfeel. The taste is good with plenty of spices. Very clean. Has a medium body and a watery texture. A pretty good finish with a good aftertaste. Not a bad beer. dmac (1500), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2009 500 ml bottle from Canal’s Hainesport. Pours a super thin pale gold, very macroish, with an above average size bright white fluffy head. Aroma of cloves, banana, wheat, slight pepery notes. Watery bodied with very strong carbonation, especially for how watery this one feels. Flavor is like a weissbier light, slight wheat and clove but seems watered down.
