| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a small fizzy, white head that fully dissipated rather quickly. Flowers and malt mix in the aroma. Sweet malts, grass, and light citrus hops in the flavor. Light body with lively carbonation in the mouth. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Medium golden without carbonation. A large, white head fades fast. Initial diacetyl affront. Powdery, floral hop aromas emerge with light, candy-sweet malts. Stalish, lagered flavor with a sweet malt start followed by a light herbal bitterness. This is definitely not as good as Weihenstephaner’s Weisse offerings.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 2, 2005 Aroma: Sweet, bready malts. ... Appearance: Golden, with diminishing head. ... Flavor: Sweet, malty from start to finish. Consistent, but a bit on the watery side for me. ... Palate: Pure malt, enjoyable. ... Overall: Be careful about this one: Some of the labels down here in Texas have it listed as "Original Premium" and call it a malt liquor-- thank you, Oakes, for clarifying that -- but a decent selection, nonetheless. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2005 Had a slight sour tang and a mild biscuit flavor, but overall a honeyish malt, herbal hops, and a clean lingering bitterness. Very light-bodied. Meh. tinydancer (52), Gibsonville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2005 My wife and I sampled this beer together and mine looked and smelled very different than hers. Mine was hazy and very yeasty smelling. Good beer though. Neat to drink a beer from the oldest brewery in the world (1040 according to the label) Yeasty straw flavor with stong aroma. Enjoyed. pivnizub (5080), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Bottle: Pale golden; thin white, quickly diminishing white head; grainy, dusty nose, traces of dough and caramel and a tinge of citrusy fruitiness; quite crisp, slightly sweetish flavour with a touch of bitterness; short grainy, citrusy finish with some hoppy traces. A pleasant, decent Helles, above the average........... erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 23, 2005 Pours a light blonde with a wuickly dissipating white head. Aroma is of honey soaked malts but no hops. Body is light with a rather low amount of CO2. Flavor is rather one dimensional in the sweet malt but this is an all malt beer and it shows in the characterful sweetness of the malts. Very clean and mild bitterness. One major Kudo for this beer: absolutely no off-flavors to speak of. A rather bland but quaffable beer.
