Commercial Description:
A good beer takes time. The long lager time makes our pale beer a matter of mild, flavourful beer enjoyment. Brewed in accordance with a centuries-old beer tradition on Weihenstephan Hill.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear yellow golden with a large frothy white that lasts awhile leaving behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is wheat grass, yeast, and citrus. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery on the palate with a malty yeast and citrus with a dry finish. A decent helles from Weihenstephan.

Certainly a session beer.... this one looks pee yellow like a Crudweiser but with the aroma of a German lager. Flavors of yeast, grass and that typical German taste that I do enjoy, but otherwise a pretty nondescript beer to say the least. With that being said, I would still drink this over any mass produced macro brewed piece of crap from AB, Miller or Coors..... all foreign companies by the way.

Pours golden yellow with white head, that dissipates into circular globs of viscuous foam. Malty aroma, slightly off-putting. Pleasant enough but not much in the way of solid flavour.

Pours clear golden into the glass, with a sudsy white head that diminishes to nothing, including lace. Yeast, sours, grassy and doughy notes to the nose. The flavors follow much in tow, with a huge mass of yeasty dough notes and some light malts upfront through the mid-palate. The finish closes on a sour melon-citrus offering. There is a tiny, almost unrecognizable hop present, but nothing of which to directly comment on. The mouthfeel is light and zesty, without a lot of complexity. All-in-all, it’s a decent brew; however, nothing stands out at the forefront. Ok for a rating, but I wouldn’t seek it out again.

12oz bottle at Annie Bailey’s, Lancaster PA...just picked it off the beer menu because I’ve never had it and I couldn’t pronounce it...it was just labeled as a lager so I was a little skeptical, but overall it was pretty good! Definitely drinkable, especially with food, doesn’t bloat you up during a meal. Simple malty/grassy flavor, relatively light bodied...obviously you’re not going to find this everywhere but I’d choose this in a heartbeat over anything on the lines of a Heineken or Becks or (should I say it...) Budweiser (yuck).

Overall Impression: Nice simple flavor, with enough taste to be more then drinkable, but not enough character to be any better then that

12 oz bottle, Solid pour, streams of tiny bubbles race to the to the top as the foam chapeau leaves spotty lacing on the way to the bottom. Warm, wholesome, and lightly toasted barley on the nose with a sexy little kiss of hop. Lime zest perhaps? Zesty shows a little later in the finish. Softness in the palate never wears out it’s welcome as this weekend guest could probably move in. Very drinkable, clean, irresistable. Shame the style stigma seems to bring down the numbers. Nice way to end a day of 100 degree heat for 4 hours. 90

Bottle. Pours a large, frothy, white head with a clear, straw-yellow body. Average malt aroma of grain, hay and straw. Reminiscent of a summertime Radtour through Oberbayern. Light hop presence - herbal, earthy and spicy. Light body with lively carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Overall a very good beer.
