Pale lemon colour, moderate diminishing head. Aroma is appetisingly fresh and hay-like, with buttery notes. Clean-tasting and quenching. Resiny hops in the middle but the finish verged on metallic. Sold session beer. MoritzF (5024), Bochum, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 13, 2005 (bottle) Clear strawy colour with a small frothy white head. Very malty & bready aroma, only with some shy hints of grassy hops. Soft bitter flavour, medium bodied. Initially malty taste, becoming more and more hoppy towards the smooth and crispy, but decent end. bierkoning (6089), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2005 Tasted from the bottle, into a Weihenstephaner Weiss glass. Poured a pale yellow gold, with a rocky, half inch white head. Aroma was initially spicy and floral, but something in it was a little skunky. Not off putting, but just not clean. A pleasant mouth feel, mildly carbonated, not overly spicy, but lemon-citrus toned and followed up with a bitter medium length swallow. Well balanced between honey malt sweetness and floral hop flavours (Hallertauer, I think!). A good example of a German Pilsner, and another great beer from this brewery!!! | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2004 Aroma: some malt and general pilsenery lagery. Appearance: pefectly clear, pale yellow with a smallish head that left suddsy lacing. Flavour: lightly malty, some hop and noticeable bitterness. Palate: good carbonation for a pilsener and not too thin.
