Commercial Description:
Slightly bitter, mild, with a fragrance of hops - our pilsner is a cut above the ordinary. A beer with character.

Bottle: Having read other reviewers assessments of this beer I wasn’t expecting much. However, I found it to be one of, if not the best Pilsners that I have ever tasted. It was a medium straw colour; Zero initial aroma, but an extremely clean, melanoidin flavour. Chalky finish. Hops were present, but not altogether bitter for a German-made Pils. I could drink this stuff all day.

Keg (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Oktoberfest 2004) Almost no aroma or taste at all. When warmed up there’s a slight hint of sweetness, maybe honey.

Shocked at the low ratings. Some people just don’t get Bavarian beers I guess. Tried this at the Weihenstephan braustubl in Freising, a gorgeous small town near the Munich airport. Came highly recommended and I forewent trying some of the other brews to sample what I was expecting to be just an average pils. This is not your average pils. Unflitered, and has a characteristic grainy and hoppy flavor. This is a wonderful, beautiful example of the style.

12 oz. bottle and in the lager mood...sparkling gold bubbly body with thick, creamy head--near-perfect Brussels lace...crisp, light/medium cereal malts present...soft texture, light body--a tongue-to-throat swiftness...a bit weak and thin...extremely weak and fleeting in taste... I kept waiting for what the commercial description calls "character"...a yeasty finish...pleasant summer drinking but lacks a big pilsner taste...since 1040? tradition puts the overall where it is, hemming at the average while the promise of its beginning is unfulfilled.....

Yellow and clear. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma has notes of chalk. Moderate flavor. Chalky feel in the finish.

comming from Weihenstephaner I was dissapointed with this beer, I expected more. I think it has an extra bite compared to other pilsners flavor, but I don’t really like the extra bite.

Bottle, a clear gold with a foamy white head. A clean aroma of grassy hops with a touch of honey for me. A clean and crisp palate, a bit over-carbonated. The flavour is very grassy. The finish was then dry and astringent.

Bottle. Clear yellow colour with a medium creamy head and a nice lacing. Malty aroma and taste with a dry semi hoppy finish.
