Slightly bitter, mild, with a fragrance of hops - our pilsner is a cut above the ordinary. A beer with character.

Bottle: Pale golden coloured, big fluffy head, slowly diminishing; sweet-malty nose combined with some distinctive, but mild grassy hoppiness; soft bittersweet flavour; longer lasting aromatic sweet-bitter finish. Pleasant and refreshing............

Bottled , bought up on offer from Asda. Impressed by this, good balance, liked the floral edge to it, crisp enough to be refreshing and flavoursome.

Like drinking a spoonful of salt. Can’t be falted too much though. Strawy aroma and clear golden look. Lots of malt and then the buckets of salt hit you (in a nice kind of a way).

Bottle: Crisp taste, hops on the lower side but still present. Nice bitterness balance and some spiciness.

Pale gold with a white head. Sweet, rather faint aroma. The taste was malty and the bitterness was agreeable. While it’s difficult to be more than half-hearted about this, the fact remains there are many worse lagers.

I thought this would be a complete waste of time until I tried it. Smells of fresh cut grass, peppery and some mellow sugary malt. Taste is of pepper and some grapes with a slightly bitter spicey finish. Impressive for this style!

Bottle. Pale gold colour with a slim white head. Aroma has grassy hops and sweet malts. I’m no big fan of Pilsners, but I quite like this; pretty well balanced malt and hops in the taste, light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Pale yellow and pored very flat.Slightly hoppy although too thin to make it a very good example of this syle. Just reasonable.
