Remember this as being a pretty decent malty beer with an enticing aroma, unfortunately my detailed notes on it are rendered unreadable due to spillage- thanks guys- other than the scoring. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia

Ribena and pumpernickel!! I managed to also find some nuts and sweet malt after tasting. A little bit on the sweet side, it has a pleasant lingering finish that left me satisfied. Very roasted malt flvour and relatively sweet. Chocolate and caramel notes. Not like any beer style brewed here in Australia. Nice palate with a moderate bitter lingering finish. highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2005 Good quaffing dunkel. Poured a plummy brown colour with a moderate, retreating head. Aroma smells like bed-time in England: strong tea and hot chocolate. Palate is medium-bodied. Sweetish middle with caramel notes, some resiny hops and an appetisingly bitter finish.
