Commercial Description:
The name tells the story: our dark beer is brewed according to a tradition handed down from generation to generation. An aromatic beer with a malty character. An archetypal Bavarian beer.

Pours dark brownred with a disappearing off-white head. Mostly sweet rather heavy rye and malt aroma with spicy notes. Sweet flavor as well, notes of malt and grass with hints of spices and coffee. Little watery mouthfull. An all right dunkel!

Clear brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of malt and hop. Bit sweet malty and bitter taste. I expected more from this dunkel. It’s just mediocre.

(on bottle, thx for the present, Jeppe) Strong sent of rum, fresh ryebread and heavy chocolate. Nice carbonation, but watery ´cause one expects so much more from that aroma. Has very dominant coffee and chocolate = malt-ntes indeed. Bit flat finish, but gain, this is just a dunkel, not a strong beer, just a good one.

Bottled. Dark amber with minor white head. Strong roasted malt with hints of syrup and caramel in aroma. Roasted malt and fruitish taste. Wellbalanced beer, but I’d like to se a bit more carbonation.

Malty biscuit aroma and flavor. Hint of caramel. Full bodied. Raisin. Hint of roasted malt. Well made dunkel that might be a bit cleaner in the aftertaste.

Dark brown with red hints, lightly carbonated with a small but tight white head. Big malt/plum aroma. fruity flavours hint at berries and blackcurrents with only enough bitterness to balance.

Roasted malty caramel and slightly hoppy aroma. Hazy brown coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is sweet, caramel malty, slightly roasted, hoppy. Bit sticky. Average dunkel.

Burnt bitter nutty aroma. Dark brown colour with poor head. Butty burnt malt flavour. Fizzy palate.
