Commercial Description:
The name tells the story: our dark beer is brewed according to a tradition handed down from generation to generation. An aromatic beer with a malty character. An archetypal Bavarian beer.

500ml bottle. Poured a red brown coppery colour with a large off white frothy head. A malty aroma with a good finish. Nice beer to drink.

500ml bottle into weizen glass. Cloudy amber brown beer with one finger of transient off white head. Aroma of warm nutty roasted malts. Smooth satisfying medium bodied mouthfeel with tastes of layered caramel and nuts. Lingering soft bitterness in the finish rather like a good English ale. Recommended.

500 ml bottle. Coppery orange colour, thin off-white head. Sweet, slightly roasted malty aroma. Bread-like malty flavour, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Nothing special about this one.

malty aroma much like broth. moderately sweet with a little good earth and fruit (kind of tropical) nicely weak. thin and foamy with a quickly dissapating head. i suppose refreshing and what i like (about only) this time of year. the German understated (but enjoyable) hop character, that does gives up good body and moves one to "have one more please!"

Beautiful Amber colour with an off white head that disappears very quickly. Intense Burnt flavour with hints of bread and coffee and a sweetness that comes upon first sipping but is soon overpowered by the burnt yeast flavour. Slight aftertaste, not totally clean. A difficult beer to drink.

Clear amber with medium off white head. Seet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and breadish notes. Flavour likewise. Body is thin.
