Oct 17, 2007 Bottle. High long lasting off-white creamy head. Very nice clear dark brown body. Distinct barley malt aroma with a touch of caramel. Flavor is bittersweet barley malt plus caramel with kind of dustyness I cannot realy describe. Low carbonation and short aftertaste.

Clear beautiful dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Malty, roasted and some banana scent. Malty, spicy taste with a bitter herbal aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Jun 25, 2007 500ml bottle served at perfect temperature at an outdoor cafe in Freising, Bavaria. Thin, off-white head over a deep mahogany coloured body. Malty to the nose. Suitable sweet malty flavour with notes of cocoa and hops. Dry ending. Rather foamy mouthfeel. Easy drinking. Not among the best German dunkels (24.06.2007).
