500ml bottle. Looked dark (but I had to drink it from the bottle!). Very malty aroma, sweet and nutty or woody. Dark bready malt in the taste, fairly sweet, but dried with a brown woodiness, and some nuttiness rather than a bitterness. A few drops in the water smells lovely when splashed on the sauna stones!

A dark brown coloured beer with orange-red flashes in the light, and a thickm off-white head. A thick and heady malt nose, with a slightly sour fruit aroma. A bitter taste, predominantly malt flavours, with a zesty, hoppy, citrus fruit flavour that matches the maltiness. The finish is dry and malty. (On tap - Plantage, Friesing, Germany).

Bottled. Sampled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Ruby colour. Dusty malt nose with toffee hints. Good malty and balancedly so. No deeper sensations, just plain and solid dunkel. A bit on the light side.
