Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a big thick white head that doesn’t go anywhere. Aroma is citrus and grassiness. Taste is noticeably sweet pale malt and some mild hop grapefruit and banana. Although clearly a weizen, this beer has characteristics of a Belgian tripel. Very good.

Pours gold with a slight haze and two inch bright white head. The aroma is pretty full with a solid wheat note, some ripe banana, citrus tartness, apple and a bit of grainy malts. The taste begins with wheat and quickly adding in a mild ripe note of banana. By midway apple and yeasty spice surface paving the way for mild lemon tartness. It ends with sweet apples and a resurgence of wheat. In the after taste a bit of vague hop bitterness seems to hang on for a while.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour with a big white head. Wheat is immediately apparent, slightly spicy, honeyed aroma. Tropical fruit aroma - pineapple, banana. Buttery, pastry sweet nose. Pear and banana in the flavor, basil-like mint quality. Dry, champagne bubbly finish. Lingering but light bitterness.

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with a tall, creamy white head that settles to a ring but renews a thin layer with a twirl of the glass. Light lace. The aroma is banana, clove, wheat, light citrus, and even a hint of mint. Similar flavor with spices standing out. Light to medium body and dry. Nice!

Pours with big and cloudy, white head. Color is witbier-like hazy orange, very attracting. Aroma is much banana-like, wheaty malty, yeasty and slightly alcoholic. Flavor is yeasty, wheaty, with banana and slight metallic note in the end. Medium-bodied, low carbonated and a bit thin palate.

Pours with a murky. golden body topped by a very thin head with no lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a light banana note and aa slight yeastiness. Medium bodied and ingly from the carbonation.

500ml bottle. BB 20.09.09. Woah...wasn’t expecting it to be so pale! Decent sized fluffy white head atop a murky straw body. Nose reminds me alot of the hefeweizen; unripe banana upfront, some tropical fruit (pineapple?), clove spices, bit of rich vanilla malt alluding to alcohol. Body is dense, creamy mouthfill, lively carbonation, bit of stickiness, tart towards the finish, with a drying hint of alcohol. Big banana bread body, dense sweet dough, cinnamon and clove, vanilla bubblegum,, a bit of peach and pineapple with sharpness to balance. Sweet finish, slightly bitter with a sharpness that takes the edge off. Fantastic. And here I was expecting all weizenbocks to be of a darker nature, then comes along this guy...a beefed up hefeweizen. Can’t go wrong with that combo!
