Lovely, but it’s the lightest weizen I’ve ever seen. Strong yeast aroma, some banana. Same banana up front in the sip, gets dirty and yeasty quickly with a gritty texture to it. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Bottle. Rating 420, there should be a soundtreat but it doesn’t play. Pours a hazy golden amber wtih big frothy white head. Aroma is wheaty and full of fresh banana. Flavor comes in with a yeasty doughiness and plenty of wheat and banana with hints of spice. Finish is short and clean. Moderate carbonation with a chewy but lighter mouthfeel. Well hidden alcohol. I will buy more for sure, very nice. omhper (12260), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 28, 2008 Draught at Bishop’s Arms SoFo, Stockholm. Cloudy dark yellow, small head. Strong banana aroma with a touch of toffee. Sweet and malty, fruity and near full bodied with some caramel and lots of banana esters. Alcohol is there, but acts in the background. Low bitterness. A warming, fruity beer, feels just as a ramped up hefeweizen. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark yellow color. Medium to large fizzy white head that quickly shrinks to a small cap. Nose is rubber, sour, and yeast. mouth feel is medium bodied and the finish is fizzy and a bit acidic. Taste is raquetballs, wheat, malt, lemon?, and some citrus. A great weizenbock in my opinion from a really great company. demitriustown (702), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 27, 2008 1 pint 0.9oz bottle: Pours a cloudy golden with a slight orange hue and a nice large head that lingers. Aroma has got the definite wiezen characteristics. A nice orange and lemon citrus spritz, banana, wheat overtones, spiced similar to a hefe. Taste is nicely robust and mouth filling. I was basically expecting a Hefe but this is nicely complex. A nice bite of citrus and wheat really make this a really luscious brew. Overall, Man this stuff is a good wiezen I really like this! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Bottle (500ml). Cloudy yellow-amber with a huge fluffy-fizzy white lasting head. Wow that smells great - lemony and sweet malt, like a dry hefe-weizen with woody overtones, bubblegum and light floral hops. The taste follows, like a banana-grassy hefe with hints of peat and iodine, quite tasty and slightly bitter in the finish. Juicy, slick mouthfeel, quite fruity and lively, slightly medicinal aftertaste- like everything from this brewery, really classy and well-founded. Palidor19 (1791), Brandon, Florida, USA
