Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

A hazy golden color with a luxurious white 3-finger head. Classic aroma of bubblegum/banana/cloves, continuing into the flavor. A great wheat beer with a little extra kick of maltiness which adds some complexity. Very clean palate, almost no aftertaste, and very refreshing.

A nice clovey banana taste similar to other weihenstephaner products. Pretty cloudy appearance. Very carbonated (again like other weihenstephaner products) and a nice aroma and somewhat sweet taste. A good choice overrall

Cloudy pale yellow color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of wheat, bananas, and some spice; Flavor of wheat, ripe bananas, clove, and some citrus overtones; Nicely balanced and the alcohol is well hidden; Excellent brew - I really enjoyed this one.

1pt bottle poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy orange with ample creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, bubblegum, spice, banana. Flavor is bubblegum, banana, spice, bread. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Medium finish is slightly bitter. This is an odd weizen bock. The dominance of the bubblegum aroma/flavor is more reminiscent of big Belgian beers than a weizen bock. Not a bad beer, just not a great example of the style.

Hazy golden body, huge, towering head, with the bottle foam still coming out from the bottle even when it is half empty! The usual weizen aromas are there (banana, bubblegum, clover), but everything is overshadowed by a rather unpleasant warm, perfumy, alcoholic note reminding me of cheap strong lagers. Oily on the palate, medium bitterness in the finish. All in all, a disappointment from Weihenstephaner. Will probably re-rate.

500-ml bottle Marcello’s, Lafayette, LA - Aroma: spicy (hop), dough (yeast), clove, banana; Appearance: hazy, orangish-golden color, off-white head, slight laces; Flavor: salty (malt), spicy, bitter (hop), clove, banana; Mouthfeel: full bodied, oily texture, fizzy-high carbonation, abrupt finish; Overall: a beautiful color and has a nice clove and fruity hop aroma and flavor with a sharp dry finish. Not much malt flavor or aroma.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours a medium golden color that is hazy and cloudy with nice thick white head. Great mouth feel and nicely carbonated. The taste is dominated by clove and has some banana. One of the best I have had. Prost!

( 16.9oz bottle) pours cloudy yellow orange with nice lasting head. Nose of clove, banana, and other spices. Taste of ripe banana, clove, spices, and bread. Creamy and very well carbonated. A great German beer!
