pretty dark for a hefe. hint of orange rind in the aroma, smelled a little like my homebrew saison but tasted much better thankfully. quite full and bready with a hint of pepper in the finish. one of the better gimmick beers. maybe now weihenstephan can make a cola party-mix beer

Dark golden color, fresh apple pie in the nose. Spicy yeasty mouth with a refreshing cold apple pie flavor. Refreshing fruity finish. Kick ass

Bottled: Amber coloured. Murky. Huge light beige head. Yeast, berries, fruit, citrus and wheat is caressing your nose. Aromas are very distinct. Flavours is a little more bland. Spices, yeast, citrus and some banana. Is light fruity and dry in the end. This is one hell of a hefe weissbier.

Spicy in both nose and palate. Plenty of clove. Slightly sweet, but definitely tart. Sort of an orange color with lots of head. Spicy aftertaste.

I was pretty excited about this beer. Starts with a big yeasty nose with hints of banana. Dark hazy khaki-orange color iwth a foamy, sticky head - not the most attractive beer. Thinish up front with some vanilla tones, but there is an intense bitter, dry end that lingers. Gritty and grassy in the sides of the mouth. Odd balance, but they get away with it. An experiment, maybe, but Weihenstephan gets away with it.

Hui - since long a German beauty :-) Nice deep orange color with a big fizzy head. Nice yeast, bread, vanilla and orange nose. Light koriander taste, doughy, vanilla and banana with nice hoppy intervalls. Yummie

Banana, peach and rye bread in the aroma. Muddy orang color witha big creamy lacing head. Banana and vanilla tastenotes, sparkly mouthfeel, slim and surprisingly dry body. Light fruit and marcipan aftertaste. Sidenote: Make sure not to confuse the beer with "Xan Wellness" which is alcoholfree version of this beer with fruit juice.

cloudy very dark orange colour, nice creamy beige head with a beautiful lacing; robust banana aroma with notes of honey, some tartness and a high carbonation; decent malt body; moderately dry finish with more banana notes - really pleasant
