Jan 13, 2004 lager? i thought it was an amber ale, but i can't remember if i formed this opinion through evidence or unthinking assumption. anyways. it's amber. fruity and vineous and alcoholic (strange for a 5.5%er) with prune hints. pretty messy, not enough malt guts to match the alcohol. the only dog out of the wellingtons.

Jan 13, 2004 pretty drinkable strong lager. some plum and peach in the aroma. tastes of mango icecream and cardboard and metho - has some of the nastiness of a real strong lager but still not bad at 11am
