Dec 27, 2007 Cask @ The Pommeler’s Rest, JDW, Southwark. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Malty sweetish artificial banana aroma. Sweet malty fruity banana falvor. Sweet malty finish with hints of bananas in the aftertaste.

Could smell this as it was being poured. Artificial, overly sweet and almost unpleasant. Just about drinkable. The base beer is clearly not great. The fruit, as mentioned already, is fake and reminds me of those banana foam like sweets I used to have as a kid. Crap.

Nov 2, 2007 ,i>Cask at the William Morris (JDW), Hammersmith. Chestnut with a creamy, cream coloured white head; aroma of bananas as expected, but more restrained and natural than the bottled version; sweet banana flavour with hints of cinnamon and vanilla; smooth and easy to drink; a gently bitter finish. Overall, much better than the bottled one.
