Aroma typical of dunkels, sweet, bready.
Taste was fantastic. much smoother than my favorite Celebrator. Coffee, chocolate, with a hint of molasses.
Mouthfeel was perfect.
So good, I;m going back tomorrow for some stock.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Chris_O was good enough to carry this all of the across the Atlantic and I appreciate that very much. This was a very good, full bodied bock, but barely a double at a mere 6.9 abv. It pours a bit thicker than most of the style. Very dark brown, looks as good as a bock can look, I have never seen a red tint on a bock before. Great full palate on this beer. There is lots of roasted malt, some light smoke, and caramel. The full palate and excellent flavor put this in the class as Celebrator. BDR (2154), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Thanks to JK for sharing. Brownish red color with light caramel and milk chocolate on the nose. Caramel and milk chocolate reappear in the somewhat grainy body. Light hoppy finish.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Sampled at joebrew’s Sunday BBQ, thanks to JK for sharing. Pours a hazy dark reddish brown brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissolves. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light chocolate, some roasted nuts and a touch of chalk. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of raisins, caramel malt, roasted walnuts and some chocolate. Finish is semi-sweet with a slight raisin aftertaste. Aroma was very malty with a small bit of roast. Mouthfeel was thick with caramel, malt and a sweet bitter taste. A fairly good beer. I liked it. Aurelius (2647), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
