Cobra (1060), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA Apr 22, 2006 500 ml. brown bottle. Fresh before 12.21.02. Aged in my cellar for 4 years. Let’s see how it holds up. Poured out a dark reddish brown, with a thick tan colored head. Aromas are of chocolate candy-covered coffee beans, yeasty bread, rum soaked raisins. Flavors are of a chocolate malted, with lager yeast notes. Earthy hops are well subdued at this point.
Thick, rich mouthfeel. Medium body, finishes slightly dry. It has aged very well, IMHO. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 22, 2006 Bottle 500ml. Dark brown body with average carbonation, rusty glints and thick beige frothy head. Wonderful and complex malty/hoppy aroma with plummy, dark cherry, roasty and flowery notes. Rich roasted malt taste that carries woody hints, and ends with a long and robust bitter/roasty finish. I choose it for my 750th rating and did not regret it!
