| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 4, 2006 This is a fantastic beer. I had heard of the brewery Weltenburger near Kelheim and managed to make it down there. From the pour the beer is deep brown with a caramel head that lasts a couple of minutes. The aroma is intense and bold with notes of caramel, chocolate, and slight notes of licorice. The flavor fills the mouth with very intense notes of chocolate, caramel, and dark bread. It stimulates every taste bud, starting at the tip and working its way to the back of the tongue and then lingers in the back of the throat transforming into a slightly bitter aftertaste. This is truly one of the best bocks in the world. . .great for those cold winter nights. . .just like tonight CatweazleTroms (2), Tromsø, Norway does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Very dark and heavy.
