| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Draft at Fatheads in Pittsburgh. Pours a deep reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma is malty with notes of maple, cherry, and raisen. Medium bodied and not overly carbonated. There is lots of complexity, and different flavors come out with every sip- like raisen, dark bread, chocolate, peat, and caramel. There is a nice amount of residual sweetness to tie everything together. The is a moderate amount of european hop bitterness right at the very end. This is a very nice beer. I would gladly drink this again. Geiserich (1790), Vienna, Austria
