pleasant aroma with notes of caramel, lemony citrus, and candy-like spice; tasty bittersweet flavor with notes of grape tasting fruit, caramel, and a little of that spice; smooth, definitely; good beer - would consider it a regular bock, however.

Pours dark brown with tan head. Aromas of brown sugar and sweet malt. Flavor is caramel, brown sugar, coffee, roasted malts and slight hops in the finish. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Very smooth and delicious. I would have this again.

Dark red. Very intense fruity and caramelly aroma, taste is again caramelly, sweet and slightly alcoholic. A truly interesting doppelbock.

Dark brown brew with a decent dark tan foam, spotty, sticky lacing. This stuff smells fairly foul - something reminds me of fish. Dark roasted malts, some chocolate, grass? Tons of toasted malts in the flavour with roasted as well, raisin, mid range spices works well, burnt sugar, nuts. Smooth medium full bodied brew, mild carbonation, finishes raisiny, brown sugar and weak spice. Good qualities but I really didn’t like this brew.

Bottle. Pours a not quite opaque dark brown with ruby showing against light. Big creamy tan head that laces the glass thickly. Beautiful beer. Flavor is rich malts with hints of chocolote. Dry malt predominates in this brew which becomes slightly estery as it warms. Full bodied and mouthfilling with a very dry finish.

Bottle. Pours deepest brown/red with a thick creamy head. Lacing in rings. Aroma is malt and caramel. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted molasses like in biscuits, Malty sweet finish. A good beer with Christmas sweets and nuts

Pours a deep brown with a nice head and plenty of lace. The aroma is apply with mild chocolate notes and some grassy and hay notes are a surprise but work well in the mix. The flavor is chocolate, cider, some burnt notes, plenty of bitterness, and some raisin and plum notes. The caramel sweetness is very well under control. The mouthful is bubbly but very full. This is exceptional.
