A dark amber-brown with off-white head, long-lasting. A slight banana and sweet yeast flavor coupled with a taste that follows the nose: fruits, roasts, and slight chocolate. Complex and delicious, superbly drinkable, and also cheap. Great beer.

This is a world class treat. This is a huge brew; tons of rich, full malts in the aroma and taste; warming alcohol presence; goes down very silky smooth with a long, sweet finish. Bock characteristics dominate with some restrained weisse beer aroma and flavors integrated. This is GREAT!! MaltOMeal (653), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2004 This is fabulous! Pours jet black with a quick fading but hazy beige head that gets reabsorbed back into the black tar rich in roasted aromas floral esters and a slight hint of cake icing! The taste is smooth, spicy, woodsy, and definitely earthy with hints of nutmeg. Nutty and balances bitters. Fabulousness! tlind2 (605), Helsinki, Finland
