Ølet har en rik, fyldig smak med både sødme og bitterhet. Ølet er sterkt, noe som gir en utmerket kraft og fylde i smak og ettersmak. Very nice!! trevor211 (518), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Pours like a cola. Transparent reddish brown, with a fizzy head that’s thick, but dissipates fairly quickly. Gets much better from there, though. Brown sugar and dark fruits are predominant in the aroma and the flavor. It’s a bit sweet, but stays dry - very tasty, and very easy to drink. merlin48 (516), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Clear, dark chestnut body with a creamy beige head that has some sticky lacing. Bready malt aroma with toffee and caramel notes. A hint of noble hops. More hop bitterness than expected in the taste. Malt presence boasts raisin bread and toffee. Hops are spicy and herbal and offer up a bitterness that is intrusive for style. Not in the same league as Celebrator or Thomas Hooker in my opinion. flutetokill (515), Fresno, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2008 16oz bottle. Pours a dark dark brown with an awesome long lasting frothy beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, caramel and wheat. Some hops on this but light and just to provide balance. This is a very malty beer and the assam is aptly used. THis is very much like a strong assam tea. Dark, rich, malty. This beer has strong notes of chocolate, caramel and of course bread. Its not the Celebrator but its very good nonetheless. Probably the second best doppel I’ve had. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 17, 2003 Super malty toffee nose, incredible clear and clean dark ruby colour. Dark foaming head. Rich malty with overtones of nearly burnt toffee and a hint of fruit. Hides the spiritousness very well. Nicely chewy but leaves me wanting another one. My thanks to kook for getting this to me. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a somewhat clear dark amber-brown color with a creamy-foamy light tan head, which had moderate retention and cling. The beer had rich caramel malt aromas with floral and fruit aromas, some raisin and a bit of earthy hops. The beer had a sweet fruity taste with a bit of grainy bitterness to complement it. It was slightly creamy with average to light carbonation and a wet body with a good, clingy mouthfeel. A high quality beer, very much enjoyed.
