New beer to Florida

Pours a gloomy crimson black body and a towering tan head. The beer is nearly room temperature at this point…. The aroma and flavor are heavy with molasses, dates, raisins, and plums… dark pitted fruits rolled through molasses and peppered with spicy tobacco shavings. Suggestions of chocolate covered cherries, kilned malts, the bready smokiness of baked pumpernickel, toffee, brown sugar, coffee with sweetened cream…. A delectable treat fit for a brisk Autumn’s evening… and although the leaves are turning, it still feels like summer here in Florida...

Dark ruby brown with a firm and lasting tan head. Intense sweet bready malt aroma, with dried fruits, molasses, cognac. Rich and sweet malt and caramel flavour, with darker notes of licorice and dark molasses. It’s sweet, but balanced enough.

March 2006 Bottle approximately a year old I think. (Dated 010905) Dark brown body, with a small creamy beige head. (3+) Sweet aroma of dark fruit and molasses, with a muted hint of cocoa. Flavour is similarly fruity dark malt with a slight tang to it. Very light notes of anise or sarsparilla (?) in the background are fleeting. I remember it being less tangy and more chocolatey malt sweetness. Medium palate. Quite pleasant. 7/3+/7/4/15 - 3.8<P> January 2004 Bottle. Very dark ruby coloured body is opaque until held up to the light. Aroma is of sweet malt and hints of caramel alcohol. Flavour is beautifully sweet and crosses the tongue with the smoothness of a kiss. Finish has just enough teasing bite to let you know that it carries with it enough alcohol that by the time you finish you will feel at least as good as this tastes. I am now regretting sharing the bottle with someone else. 7/4/8/4/17 - 4.0

Very nice... Pours an incredibly dark red/black with a decent head that left minimal lacing. Scent is strong of coffee and malt. Taste is coffee/toffee and dark fruits. Palate has a nice mineral feel to it. It’s thick without being very carbonated. Overall it’s rather nice and offers a nice challange to Celebrator/Salvatore, and worth giving a try.

Nice dark brown color, small but long lived tan head.Roasted malt aroma with some sweet tones to it with the usual minute amount of hops in the presence.Sweet malt taste, nice and dark with a lingering sweet taste, mild hop presence.Kind of a mild heavy feel that doesn't detract from the brew at all.some hints of caramel and maybe dark chocolate. The after taste is pretty malty, sweet and mildly hoped with a slight chocolate hint in there.Well worth the trade and even better is thetaste it beter then some other brews i' ve had lately.

Very tasty! Beige head. Big malty aroma. Sweet wine-like flavor. Full-bodied brown with reddish hues. Nice beer!

Extremely malty in the best way, but the cloyingly sweet aftertaste keeps this one from the top of my list.

Caramel brown color, chocolate in the body and a chocolate-cocoa nose but not overbearing. Very smooth and flavorful. Semi-sweet caramel finish.
