500 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse, dated 11.01.02. Reddish brown pour with a 2-finger head. Aroma of brown sugar, banana and grain. Taste is wheat, brown sugar, raisins, banana, caramel. Full bodied but very light texture. Very nice.

Bottle. Reddish brown color with light tan head. Aroma is filled with caramel and sweetness. A bitterness comes over the tongue, followed by the fruity-like sweetness and again the caramel or even molasses and a touch of smokiness. Ein fantastisches Doppelbockbier.

Rich dark brown, thick 3 finger head, strong black malt aroma. Velvety sweet taste, not very complex, but satisfying. Toasted cereal with some light roasted coffee. Solid.

bottle. Pours a ruby red with a light brown head. Nose is nutty and bready with malt prominent. Taste is bready and roast malt. Mouthfeel is medium with some bitterness. A very drinkable brew. Liked this quite a bit.

Garnet red/brown, head is rich, thick, long lasting and takes up half the glass. Aroma is heavy malt doppelbock goodness. Body is sublime raisin bread with an excellent palate. A great surprise.
Rich, warm amber brown with light tan, latte-colored head. Abundantly malty, sweet caramel, pumpernickel dough, medjool date, molasses and black sugar aromas. Creamy mouthfeel is luscious and gorgeous like a dessert. Bursting with rich malty flavors. Sweetness lingers on tongue. Bread crust finish. Also hazelnut-chocolate.

A dark brown beer with a nose of bread and maltiness. An impressive albeit temporary head forms. A fleshy beer with a sweetness that perhaps could be restrained somewhat. Complex and enchanting.
