Sweet aroma, lots of caramel and bready. Again, sweet caramel dominates the body, bready, tasty. Even with all that sweetness, definitely easy to drink. Top notch. pivo (2537), Germany

Starts sweet and ends with a slight dry, gritty finish. Some spices (nutmeg) in the middle. A full taste that kept getting better through the glass. Clean palate and an impeccable balance. The maltiness is the main attraction of this brew but I found it to be a little salty this time around. Hildigöltur (5109), Křbenhavn, Denmark

Big aroma - strong raisin, toffee, tootsie roll, and berry. Similar dark raisin fruitiness in the flavor. Prune, raisin and chocolate cookie up front with some light dandelion hopping in back. Slightly thick mouthfeel w/ low carbonation. I really like this doppelbock’s fruitiness.
