500ml bottle thanks to and shared with funkybrewster. Pours a very dark, almost clear, red with a thick creamy light tan froth with some lacing, settlings into lovely super fine bubbles. Aroma is super fruity, like a fruit-snack/gummy-bear, rich grainy malts, lots of malt flour, very light chocolate, touch of grass 6.5. Mmmmm the flavor is wunderbar, endlessly malty, loads of grainy malt flour, some faint bitterness that adds dimension, bitter chocolate and malt flour, like drinking rye bread, fantastic 8.5. Flavor brings huge nostalgia of when my grandfather used to make me chocolate malts as a kid. It isn’t rich but perfectly sweet. Long lingering chalky bitterness. No hint of any alcohol, well just enough to warm the flavor. The body is near perfect for flavor and style, avoids being syrupy or sticky like so many sugar doppelbock messes, smooth ubiquitous super fine carbonation 4.5. Love it.

Wow! Looks good! Seemly dark brown body, stable, foamy beige head. Complex aroma of toffe, some chocolate and roasted grains. Rich flavour contains coffee, nuts, some spicey fruit taste, roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel, well hidden sweety alcohol warms me up. Fine, good, please give me some more!

16oz bottle. Pours a dark dark brown with an awesome long lasting frothy beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, caramel and wheat. Some hops on this but light and just to provide balance. This is a very malty beer and the assam is aptly used. THis is very much like a strong assam tea. Dark, rich, malty. This beer has strong notes of chocolate, caramel and of course bread. Its not the Celebrator but its very good nonetheless. Probably the second best doppel I’ve had.

Color is dark, deep ruby brown. Head is creamy, lacy and long lasting. Lacing is nice. Aroma is sweet malts and hops. Flavour is roasty and malty with chokolate and "mämmi". Palate is soft, full-bodied and sticky.

The scent is strong and balanced with sweet fruit, dark roasts, chocolate, and oat. A dark amber-brown with off-white head, long-lasting. A slight banana and sweet yeast flavor coupled with a taste that follows the nose: fruits, roasts, and slight chocolate. Complex and delicious, superbly drinkable, and also cheap. Great beer.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of molasses, chocolate and toffee. Taste is a full body caramel, toffee with a light bitterness. Oh man this is good.

Bottle. Clear cola brown beer with beige head. Very rich aroma is malty and a bit caramelly. Flavor is even richer. Sweet maltyness, coffee and some chocolate even. Quite bitter in the end. Full body I’d say. This beer is truly enjoyable and very tasty.
