It pours a beautiful clear pale amber/ deep golden beer with nicely remaining lacing tall head. Caramel, pumpernickel and marmite showing up in both nose and taste. Smooth and balanced. Very drinkable. Decent bitterness. Nutty finish. Rather pleasant. Thanks a lot MoritzF! 17thfloor (1511), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear glowing but darker orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is quite malty, subtly sweet malt flour, bready, doughy, light caramel, very smooth with a bit of fruity spiciness. Flavor follows but is more caramelly, lightly spiced, bit of grassy hay, munich malts, rich aftertaste. Medium/light bodied smooth and very crisp, extremely drinkable and sessionable. Another amazingly smooth beer from Weltenburger. TheDog (360), Aarhus, Denmark

Wonderful complex aroma, with earthy grass and hints of spicy herbs. Taste is very well done and perfect for winter foods in Germany. Nice mix of hops and sweet flavors. Palate is full but not overpowering. A really good beer. A great Vienna by any standard! tnkw01 (214), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bottle. Had this one on a recent trip to Chicago. Wasn’t a great beer but was good. Started off with a nice hop-malt balance but finished just a tad too bitter. For some reason it said "malt liqour" on the label. Anyway, recommended to try at least once. downender (2636), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Mlaty, cereal and red fruit aroma. Flavour of prunes, biscuity malts and caramel. Finish was dryish with a hint of roastiness. Good. neepsntatties (350), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Tried a bottle of this for the first time tonight. Colour... orange-amber with a very thick, frothy head. Nose... malt and honey. Palate... very light carbonation, sweet malt, yeast, honey and toffee and rather marzen-like though not as, "robust". Decent beer, but certainly not a, "winter warmer". Bov (5514), Bienne, Switzerland
