tupalev (2299), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 21, 2008 Can, LCBO. Jeff’s pils fest during the 2008 Champions League final. Pours a light yellow with a nice looking fluffy white head and a few streaming bubbles. Some grassy hops, tinny hops in mild soft aroma. Taste is surprisingly sweet at first, giving way to classic pils like hops near the middle and then finish. Soft mouthfeel compliments well, medium to full bodied for a pils. Nice pils, I am still earning the differences in different pils styles, but compared to the more familiar (for me) Czech pils, this seems softer, less crispy, more full bodied and more satisfying (but not as refreshing). A decent beer.
everettvh (24), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Light gold colour with a thick white head. A thirst quenching beer with a grassy hop taste. A good deal from the discount retailer Aldi, this is one of the best lagers I’ve had from a macro brewer. jbuzz (465), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2008 Perants for a six pack from Aldi.
Not bad for a "discount" find. Light malt scent. Flavor is light on the malt some bitterness. Ir is a good looking brew with its bug thick head. Hansen (1680), Randers, Denmark Aug 2, 2008 Yellow and clear. Has a fine, big, white head, fully lasting and lacing. Aroma has some faint hoppy notes, fruity. Flavor starts moderate malty sweet and finish moderate bitter. Dry texture. wilderthanyou (311), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2008 Pours a transparent fizzy yellow with a big white foamy head. The aroma is bready, malty, and grassy. The flavour is pretty decent, like the aroma, there is some bread, and malt, with a little bit of saltyness, and a dry hop finish. Overall one of the more likeable german pilseners i’ve tried. kolschbeer (2), , Leicestershire, England does not count Jul 5, 2008 For the money its a good buy.
Its also readily available, certainley in the UK .
In my opinion better than a lot of pils.
