West County Cider Dabinett | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Commercial Description: The Dabinett is a classic English bittersweet cider apple that we grow at our Catamount Hill Orchard. In the past we have blended it with other apples, usually using thirty to forty percent Dabinett. This year it is close to being a straight varietal, about 94% Dabinett. Let’s say it is interesting: it tastes of the branches as well as the apple. There is dark fruit upfront, with a tannic over layer that persists long after the bottom seems to have disappeared. Its big bodied, and very drinkable..
