From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep brown with an almost fully gone head. Smooth roasted malty aroma with a mild spice note. Bitter, spiced and roasted malty flavour with a distinct acidic note to the roatsed malt base. Smooth malty finish with a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Draft at the brewpub. A dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a light touch of nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, but towards the end notes of nuts blends in, the finish is dry and the body is thin.

Dark cola coloured, quickly fading off-white cover. Fruity, plumy, pruney and blue grape flavours. Interesting nose, but poor on the palate and failing to keep up the complexity. Being very thin in fact. Toasted munichs work well in the nose, but feel faded in mouth. Poor balance.

On draught at the brewpub. Dark brown with low head. Chocolatey aroma with notes of sweet licorice. Low flavour profile with suggestions of licorice. Pretty clean mouthfeel with weak body, lacking in maltiness. Short finish.
